Welcome! Bienvenidos! Mwaliko! Bienvenue! Marhaban!

Happy to have you here at Passport!

Wondering who we are and what we are doing here from our little dot on the map?

We are a community of Great Commission Christians, empowering the Next Generation to share the HOPE of the Gospel.

Motivated by LOVE…

{The Great Commandment: Matthew 22:37-39}

Called to SERVE…

{The Great Commission: Matthew 28:18-20}

And guided by this simple, but powerful, prayer for the nations:

In His name, the nations will put their hope. Matthew 12:21

Passport to the Nations curriculum has its roots in the local church….

One of the priorities throughout Scripture is a focus on the mission of the church. This is often called The Great Commission. As a matter of fact, we quote this verse every Sunday before we leave our worship gathering.

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And behold I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19-20.

As a result, we began to ask ourselves the question, “How do we teach our children about the mission of the church?” Passport to the Nations, in part, became an answer to that question.

You might be wondering what Passport to the Nations is exactly?

At its core, Passport to the Nations is a tool designed to GROUND kids in the Gospel and grow their hearts to GO to the nations.

Each year, children learn a new way to clearly and confidently share the Good News of Jesus—helping them develop a deeper, fuller understanding of the Gospel message. As they grow in faith, they also explore the beliefs of other world religions, boldly comparing their claims to the unmatched truth and beauty of the Christian faith.

But grounding alone isn’t enough—we’re also called to go. That’s why Passport introduces children to the nations around the world and immerses them in stories of real missionaries who used their everyday gifts to serve others and share Christ’s love across cultures.

Grounded in truth. Compelled to go. That’s the heartbeat of Passport to the Nations.

Meet our Team:

Tamarah H.

Founder + Curriculum and Program Development

Tamarah, founder and creator of the Passport curriculum, was born in a little Catholic clinic in Mexico. She emerged as a towheaded daughter of American parents in a sea of dark-haired locals. Her formative years were a whirlwind of cultural immersion, instilling in her a curiosity and love for people of another place. When Christ captured her heart, He simultaneously planted seeds in her heart and mind for her role in the mission of the church. She envisioned herself living and sharing her faith in another context. When those circumstances did not come to pass, she began to look for the “yeses” of missions… within the boundaries of her current life. Years later, as a veteran homeschool mom and teacher, she found her unique calling to create a missions curriculum for kids that would foster both a love for and responsibility to the nations. She thrives on creating curriculum and mission opportunities with the aim of encouraging kids to find their own unique calling and place in God’s global mission.

Angelia S.

Communications + Partnerships

Angelia and her husband have been members of their local church, the Church at Brook Hills, for over 25 years. They have served as preschool teachers for 15+ years. Angelia has worked in ministry for most of her life, primarily in the roles of communications, PR, and marketing. She and her family have traveled and served in missions all over the world. She firmly believes the Church is the primary means for getting the gospel to the nations. Angelia is passionate about helping kids understand the gospel, follow Jesus, and respond to the responsibility we all have to take the Good News to the nations. And in her free time… she can be found watching one of her favorite movie genres…. Bollywood!

Bec B.

Passport Teacher + Content Contributor

Bec, while a college student at UNC-Chapel Hill, met her husband on a short term trip to East Asia. She was a kindergarten teacher for 4 years before becoming a mom to their 4 kids. They were deeply involved at their local church in Raleigh before moving to Central Asia for 7 years. While in Central Asia, Bec enjoyed the warm, hospitable, relationship-oriented culture, having tea with friends, and walking everywhere she needed to go. They now live in Birmingham, Alabama where Bec teaches Passport to elementary aged children. She has a passion for the Gospel getting to the nations, and sees it as a huge privilege to teach this curriculum to her students.

Bethany T.

Artist and Graphic Designer

Bethany has been happily married to her husband Chris for six years. While primarily focusing on her career as a weightlifting and nutrition coach, Bethany brings over a decade of experience teaching art to children of all ages at her local homeschool co-op, a role she continues to cherish. In addition, Bethany is the talented artist behind the beautiful maps, as well as most of the engaging art projects found in the Passport curriculum.

Bethany's love for travel and children has taken her to numerous countries where she shares her passion for the gospel—a calling she embraced during her teenage years with Child Evangelism Fellowship. Bethany uses her artistic talent and dedication to children's ministry as a platform to spread the good news across the nations.
