This necklace is another fun activity that can be help students as they learn the Gospel Threads concepts.
What you will need:
- Black string (we used craft lace)
- Plastic beads (a white, a green, a yellow, and two red beads and a black heart bead)
Instructions:
Cut a piece of the black string about 3 inches longer than is needed to go around the child’s neck (approximately 36 inches).
String the white bead onto the center of the string.
Thread both ends of the string through the black heart bead.
String a red bead onto either end of the string.
Next string both ends of the string through the yellow bead.
Take the right side of the string and thread it through the bottom of the yellow bead. Pull it tight.
Repeat with the left side of the string.
Place the green bead sideways in between the two red beads. Tension will keep it from falling out.
Finally, tie a knot above the yellow bead and a knot at the ends of the string to complete the necklace.
