In order to supplement the Gospel Threads curriculum, we have selected one verse from each day’s teaching for memorization. (We have selected one verse to accompany each day/”thread” of the Gospel.)
Since the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, profitable for teaching and rebuking and instructing in righteousness, there can be no better use of time than to help students memorize a portion of it. It will reap benefits long after the week of teaching is over.

With each day’s teaching, choose an activity/game to aid in memory of that day’s verse.
You will use these verses to make a Scripture Memory Card Pack for each student. At the end of the week, you can give each child a CARD PACK that they can keep, take home, and hopefully learn by heart.
What you will need:

- White, grey, red, green, and yellow card stock
- A paper cutter
- A hole puncher
- String (we used black leather string but any of the options pictured below will work)
Instructions:
Download the WHITE THREAD Scripture.
Copy onto white card stock. Make as many cards as the number of students you are anticipating.
Download the BLACK THREAD Scripture.
Copy onto gray card stock. Again, make an appropriate number of copies.
Download the RED THREAD Scripture.
Copy onto red card stock.
Download the GREEN THREAD Scripture.
Copy onto lime green card stock.
Download the YELLOW THREAD Scripture.
Copy onto yellow card stock.
Use a paper cutter to cut out the cards. Cut down the middle at 4 1/4 inches. Then cut in-between cards. Finished cards will measure 4 1/4 inches x 2 3/4 inches.
Sort the cards by placing one card of each color face down in each stack. Place in the following order: white, grey, red, green, and yellow.
When flipped over, card stacks should look like this.
Hole punch each stack in the top right corner.
Tie each stack together with an approximately 5″ piece of string.
Give one stack of cards to each student.
And pray. Pray for God’s Word to not return void.
