Can your students name the two peninsulas found in Mexico? Or do they know the names of the 7 countries that make up the Central American isthmus? Do they know to which country in South America Panama connects?
Help them find the answers to these geography questions (and more!), we are going to take your students on a scavenger hunt. A scavenger hunt is a game in which ythey look for a list of items and the first person/team to find everything on the list is the winner. The twist to our game is that everything that is on this list can be found on a map of Central America. So we are going to take students on a map hunt! We will search all over the map to find different features in the Central American and Caribbean countries and then record our findings on the activity sheet.
For this project you will need:
- An outline map of Latin America, printed on card stock
- Map Scavenger Hunt instructions, for k-3rd grade, or 3rd grade+
- Map Scavenger hunt answers
