Drink Water to Give Water
For one week, drink only water. No juice. No tea. No cokes. Just water. At the end of each day, estimate the amount of money you would have spent on these various drinks and put that money aside in a glass, cup or mason jar (or slip a little note with the $ amount in and total at the end).
Eating out? Get water with your meal and put aside the extra money to give water. Working out and want to grab for the Gatorade? Don’t. Instead, save the money and give it so someone else can just have clean water to drink. Water that helps them stay free of water-borne diseases. Maybe you already only drink water? Then give out of gratitude. Every time you drink a glass of cold, clean water that you did not have to walk miles to get, put a pre-specified amount of money in the jar as a sign of gratitude for the blessing of clean water.
And then pass this blessing on to others. Take this challenge for a week? Two weeks? A month? And gather others to do it with you. Wear a blue wrist band, ribbon, bandana or necklace with blue beads throughout the week as a reminder to drink water to give water!
Collect the money your group raises in an appropriate receptacle.
Or you can create a fundraising page on the NeverThirst website and participants can donate the money they raised directly to your campaign page. It’s easy! Here is a screen shot of our fundraising page when we first started our campaign:
