We are a community of Great Commission Christians,

empowering the Next Generation to share the HOPE of the Gospel.

Motivated by LOVE…

{The Great Commandment: Matthew 22:37-39}

Called to SERVE…

{The Great Commission: Matthew 28:18-20}

And guided by this simple, but powerful, prayer for the nations:

In His name, the nations will put their hope.  Matthew 12:21

Passport to the Nations curriculum has its roots at The Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham, Alabama.  David Platt was our pastor. One of the priorities throughout Scripture, and therefore David’s teaching, is a focus on the mission of the church.  This is often called The Great Commission.  As a matter of fact, we quote this verse every Sunday before we leave our worship gathering.

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you.  And behold I am with you always, even to the ends of the age.”  Matthew 28:19-20.

As a result, one of the priorities at Brook Hills became, “How do we teach our children about the mission of the church?”  Passport to the Nations, in part, became an answer to that question.  Armed with the idea that kids can’t care about what they don’t know about, we began the process of trying to find contemporary and comprehensive ways to EXPOSE the children to the people and needs of the nations.  And as we did this, we hoped we were laying a foundation for a God-INSPIRED call to go to and serve these same people.  Much of the content of this curriculum and website is an outgrowth of that process.

You might be wondering what Passport to the Nations is exactly?

We like to think of it as a “Missions Movement for Kids”.  A movement? Really?  Well…. yes.  We believe that when you combine the knowledge gained from the classroom curriculum with a drip-by-drip encouragement to live life on mission, kids can begin to cause a ripple of change by serving their world.  Now harness the power of the Passport community, and next thing you know…. you have a movement!

Mother Teresa said it well:

“If I look at the mass, I will never act.  If I look at the one, I will.”

We hope to help you see the one.

Join us as we strive to intentionallycompassionately, and humbly share the HOPE of the Gospel with the nations.
